The Baldwin-Whitehall School District has joined a statewide public outreach campaign designed
to promote the accomplishments, accountability and value of Pennsylvania's public schools.
Grade 3-4 Calcu-Solve
 
On March 27, 2008, thirty-one third and fourth grade Gifted Support students from Paynter and Whitehall Elementary Schools competed at the first annual Calcu-Solve Bowl hosted at Harrison Middle School. Middle school Gifted Support students created the math problems used, scored the problems, and served as ambassadors during the during the competition. Barbara Spegar, fourth grader at Whitehall, came in first in the individual competition. Tyler Tepsic, fourth grader at Paynter, placed second. Morgan Schaming, fourth grader at Whitehall, won a tiebreaker for third place. The winning team included Barbara and Tyler as well as Cory Schraeder, third grader at Whitehall, and Michaela Woods, third grader at Whitehall. Congratulations to these math whizzes!
